Environment care in our Investments

2018-2023

Thanks to our innovative approach to the design of our manufacturing facility and its tools, we have significantly increased the internal reuse of waste to 10 tons a year (2023). What we cannot reuse ourselves, we sell or donate for recycling purposes. This way, our entire manufacturing site has a minimal environmental impact, comparable to a basic household.

We are proud to embrace green energy and technology in our operations, while increasing our production capacity and scale. We have achieved significant reductions in the emissions of harmful substances and pollutants. For instance, we have lowered our CO2 emissions by 14,06 tons CO2/year (2022-2023).

In 2023, we are excited to announce the completion of our new investments. These have been in the works for a long time and they will elevate our Brand to a higher standard of performance. As we expand and improve our facility, we also increase our commitment to the environmental sustainability of our planet.

Elkat™, the green manufacturer of low voltage apparatus components, hosted a conference on 23.11.22, where it welcomed important guests from around the world, including:

  • Lars Borresen - Senior advisor at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

  • Hannes Heimisson - Ambassador of Iceland

  • The Representatives of the Financial Mechanisms Office in Brussels

  • Head of the financial programs department

  • Linn-Kaja Rogstad - Senior National Officer

The conference also gathered around 60 other distinguished personalities from various fields.

The company’s spokesperson said: “We are proud to make the future well connected. We can also enhance our quality and safety standards, as well as our competitiveness in the global market.”

The spokesperson also said that the company is committed to preserving the environment and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The company has redesigned its facility and tools to be more eco-friendly and efficient. It has increased its internal reuse of waste to 10 tons a year (2023) and reduced its CO2 emissions by 14.06 tons CO2. It has also invested in renewable energy sources, waste recycling, and futuristic production management.

The TLC-14 threadless distribution block

Our own distribution block that we designed from scratch. the TLC-14 is a threadless distribution block that allows easy and quick connection of wires without any screws or tools.

Imagine a connecting block that can connect wires of any size and shape in a snap. A connecting block that is insulated, ergonomic, and easy to use. A connecting block that can handle any type of low-voltage electrical switchgear. That's what we have designed for you.

Our connecting block uses spring terminals to connect wires with a cross-section of 1-25mm2. It has 13 inputs that can accommodate any wire configuration. It ensures a secure and fast connection, with no risk of failure or cable ejection. It comes with a special tool that allows you to remove the cables with ease. It fits perfectly on the DIN rail, and meets the IP 20 protection level. And like all Elkat products, it makes your electrical devices work together in a reliable, transparent, and futuristic way.
